The Artist’s View When we draw a line, we enter into a linear reality, which is generally abstract in a three dimensional, visual world. To draw is to understand this hidden aspect of visual reality. When mind is intuitive, this linear aspect of the formal nature of the reality becomes crystal clear to us. With intuition forms get liberated from its usual three dimensional associations. In this process, mind invents a new linear or formal reality, which in fact could be called an essence of visual reality. Thus Drawing becomes independent in many ways, creating a new visual experience. – Reprinted from Drawing Today Jehangir Art Gallery 1982
