It was gifted in the late 1980s to their close family friend Pramodsinh Mahipatsinh Jadeja who is also the Caretaker for the Royal Palace, thereafter sold along with other paintings and artifacts to a Dehradun-based Family between 2000-02. A very Important painting formerly from the Royal Collection of Maharani Shri Gulab Kunverba Sahiba, w/o Jam Shri Digvijaysinhji, Maharaja Jam Saheb of Nawanagar 28 Reference of a smaller painting from the same series which was recently sold at AstaGuru, 22-23 August 2017 (Lot 31) Paysage Corse Oil on canvas, 1958 27.5 x 27.5 in Sold for INR 4,02,50,000 The original number imprinted into the middle support of the wooden stretcher is 8373 which was part of a series of stretchers used by Raza during the 1956-59 period. Another painting which was exhibited at the XXVIII.
