Osian's Auction Catalogue Celebrating Cinematic Heritage | June 2018

In a first of its kind collaboration between IIFA (International Indian Film Academy) & Osian’s Connoisseurs of Art Pvt. Ltd., a new vision for preserving cinema heritage has emerged. Osian’s Connoisseurs of Art Pvt. Ltd. would hold the First Cinema Heritage event, exhibition & auction outside of India in partnership with the IIFA Foundation at the IIFA Awards which will be held at Hotel Marriott Marquis Queens Park in Bangkok from 21st- 24th June 2018. This event is expected to significantly help increase the awareness and boost efforts towards preserving and nurturing India’s cinematic heritage, especially its rare and vintage publicity material and memorabilia. The Indian film fraternity has always been at the forefront of charity, therefore the international Indian Film Academy has created a platform that would allow proceeds to be raised for the working class people of Indian Cinema. Instituted by the IIFA management in 2003, the IIFA Foundation has been a humble attempt to raise funds to assist and support the families of film industry workers who are adversely affected while working for the production of a film through the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE). One of the most exciting activities for the IIFA Weekend is the IIFA Foundation Charity Special event. This is a collaborative effort between Indian and local stars, celebrities, sponsors, partners and sportspersons to raise money for a worthy cause. Glamour, business, global representation – the IIFA rests on many pillars. But one of its defining qualities is its strong social allegiance. The IIFA Foundation has grown to include sporting and other activities undertaken for the benefit of deserving members of the Indian film industry, and select charities in host nations. Wiz.
