121 1965 ‘First influenced by Paul Klee and some aspects of modern Western art movements, Prabha turned towards the Indian art scene and ethos. While still at the J.J. she responded strongly to Almelkar, Palsikar, Bendre and Amrita Sher- Gil and began to take a sustained interest in the Ajanta tradition. Her Kashmir landscapes and fairy-tale scenes belong to this phase of her career, to which she never turned.’ – Nissim Ezekiel (Ed.) rpt. in B. Vithal and B. Prabha , New Delhi 1976. 62 B.
