Hand in hand with this respect, was the need to grasp and absorb one’s artistic and cultural traditions, while aspiring to a wider pan-national, pan-Asian vision and synergy, naturally opening out to universal sensibilities and appeal. Lots 71, 72 and 74 clearly reveal this thematic sensibility from three stalwarts of Kala Bhavan, Santiniketan.
