The artist was also known to the Mallick & Laha families, who were patrons of the arts during the British period. The consignor has told Osians that the exact dates of his paintings & the name of the artist is written in the diaries of the Mallick family, which they have still not had time to fully srudy and dig out, after all he has only been following up with them for the past three to four years. Condition Minor preservation & cleaning work has been carried out in Murnbai during September 2000 Provenance From the Pathariahat Rajbari family, then acquired by a gallery in Kolkata, who in turn has consigned the work to Osians
