Education & Teaching Experience Student of Abanindranath Tagore in the ’Indian Painting’ section GCAC. 1918 Association with Rai Bhadur Lal Sultan Singh in Dehra Dun, along with his son Raghubir Singh, and Delhi journalist Keshabchandra Roy, founded the Modern School. Sultan Singh invited Ukil to N.Delhi to join the Fine Art faculty of Modern School, where he started teaching. 1926 Ukil founded his own studio for teaching and propagating the Bengal School’s ideas and art practises, which became the first art school in the Capital, ’Sarada Ukil School of Art’, Connaught Place.
