Gifted with an eye for composition, Shaw has made steady progress. To him there is nothing accidental in etching... of late Shaw has begun doing what he calls ‘collage diamonds’. He creates a series of rectangles on a plate and on another, diamond-shaped crystals in relief. The prints taken from both the plates thus produce the characteristics of a collage based on a skillfully designed geometrical pattern.” (Kali Biswas, in LKC # 18 September 1974 , p43).
